WHAT WE BELIEVE:

At Lake Clark Bible Church our vision and mission is to promote the worship of and service to God in Port Alsworth and beyond.

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the written word of God, our final authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3: 16-17; 2 Peter 1: 20- 21)

The Godhead
We believe in one God, consisting of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in attributes, power and glory.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Matthew 28:19)

The Person and Work of Christ
1. We believe Jesus Christ is both God and man.
(John 1: 1, 2, 14; Philippians 2: 5-8)
2. We believe that Christ came into the world to save sinners. (Matthew 18: 11; 1 Timothy 1: 15)

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
1. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin. (John 16: 7-11)
2. We believe that upon salvation the Holy Spirit indwells every believer (John 14: 16-17; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8: 9), seals every believer (2 Corinthians 1; 22; Ephesians 1: 13-14;4:30), and baptizes every believer
(1 Corinthians 12: 13).
3. It is the privilege and duty of all believers to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5: 18; Galatians 5: 16-17, 25).

Man
Man is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and by nature does not obey God (Romans 1:21-23; 3:10-18, 23; 5:12; Psalm 51:5)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God received only by those who have repented of their sin who make a willful decision to repent from sin and put their faith in Christ. (Ephesians 1: 13-14; 2: 8-9; Romans 3: 24; 6:23; 10: 9-10; John 1:12; 5:24)

Future State

We believe in the “blessed hope” (Titus 2: 11-14) of Christ’s coming again for believers (1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18), who shall live eternally in the presence of God (John 11:25-26; 14:6; 1 Thessalonians 1:10), and the eternal separation from God of those who reject salvation through Christ (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10).
